Greetings from the 2009 Lone Star Conference Committee!

What is the Lone Star Conference? The Lone Star Conference is the Annual Regional Conference sanctioned by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing for public institution procurement and materials management professionals in federal, state, county, municipal and township activities, public school systems, colleges, universities, hospitals, commissions, authorities or any other political subdivisions of the State.

The Southeast Texas Association of Public Purchasers is once again proud to host this prestigious conference and through this letter, we are seeking your support and participation.

Attached is an application for an exhibitor booth and/or corporate sponsorship. We highly encourage your company to participate in our Lone Star Conference.

The Lone Star Conference is being held on beautiful Galveston Island, Texas at the Hilton Hotel and Resort on the Seawall. As a bonus, we have negotiated an $85.00 per night rate for the hotel, which is phenomenal. Understand that if the State of Texas prevailing rate increase, so will our hotel rate.

The conference will be held May 3 - 6, 2009. The events will start on May 3 with the golf outing. The Exhibitor Expo will be held on May 5, 2009 from 10:30 a.m.-2: 30 pm.

As a special note, our conference does not include any other sessions during this time period so that our attendees may focus their entire attention on our valuable vendors.
